Police investigating the sudden death of a woman in her 50s on a railway line in Ballymena have specifically asked for information from those who were there at the time.
The woman’s body was found on the tracks at the train station in the city just after 5.40pm on Sunday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the sudden death.
Chief Inspector Arnie O’Neill said: “Just before 5.40pm it was reported that a woman in her 50s was on the tracks in the area. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
“As part of our investigation, we would like to speak to two people who are believed to have spoken to the woman sometime between 5pm and 5:40pm and who we believe may assist us with our inquiries .
“We continue to appeal to anyone with information about this incident to contact the police on number 101 under reference number 1486 on 07/31/22.”
