The company reported an increase in revenue from operations of more than 7% to Rs. 10,665.7 crore in the period July-September 2022 compared to sales of Rs.
The company had reported profit after tax of Rs.3,765.86 crore and operating income of Rs.10,446 crore in the previous quarter ended June 2022.
Power Grid’s earnings per share (EPS) remained flat at Rs 5.29 apiece in the second quarter of FY23 compared to Rs 5.28 in the first quarter of FY23 and Rs 5.27 in the second quarter of FY22.
For the six-month period ended 30 September 2022, Power Grid reported a net profit of Rs.7,416.90 crore, which is over 21% below the profit of Rs.9,423.68 crore the company posted in the first half of the last financial year .
However, the state-run power transmission major reported an increase in operating income of over 8% to Rs.21,101.78 crore from Rs.19,709.46 crore in the same period.
The company announced an interim dividend of Rs.5 per common share of Rs.10 par value for the quarter, to be paid to eligible members on November 30, 2022, it said in a separate stock exchange filing.
