Princess Kate’s Children Can’t Believe She Looked “So Young” In Engagement Photos

Princess Kate shared some funny stories about her three kids this week as she and Prince William continue their first tour of Wales since accepting their new titles following the death of Queen Elizabeth earlier this month.

The Prince and Princess of Wales paid a visit to Anglesey where they spent some time meeting with many well-wishers. In a video shared on TikTok, Kate can be seen stopping to chat with a woman holding a Union Jack flag imprinted with one of her and William’s 2010 engagement photos. In the clip, the princess pauses before laughingly asking, “Oh my god, is that from our engagement?” adding that she and William “always laugh about it.” But more seriously, the princess continued, “You know, we’ve been married 11 years and we’ve been together twice as long, so it’s extraordinary.” She also shared an amusing anecdote about it Prince George, Princess Charlotteand Prince Ludwig, and explained: “Our children look at photos and say, ‘Mommy, you look so young.'” She concluded: “It’s nice to go back to Wales because that’s where we lived and had our family. It was a very special day.” Anglesey is also where Kate celebrated her first royal engagement 11 years ago, when she and William were still newly engaged.

This final stop on their Welsh tour comes after the Prince and Princess also paid a visit to Swansea on Tuesday, just after the official end of the royal mourning period. The couple also spoke to several locals there, including Rev. Steven Bunting which they hosted during their visit to the St. Thomas Church in the city. The reverend told persons that he was allowed to converse with William, to whom he demonstrated his commitment to his new royal title. “He spoke about learning Welsh and shared some Welsh phrases that he’s trying to do,” Bunting said, revealing that the prince is currently working on the phrases ‘pan’, meaning a cup, and ‘bara brith’. a traditional Welsh tea, bread works.

During this visit, the Princess also helped church volunteers pack baby items for Swansea Baby Basics, which supplies essential child care items to those in need across the city. Rachel Bunt, the Reverend’s wife, gushed that Kate was “fabulous. The kids loved them all. She isn’t patronizing to them and can have a conversation – and they appreciate that.” The King has been heavily involved with the UK baby bank network since the start of the pandemic, bringing together a range of businesses to sell over 10,000 new items to 40 organisations to donate. Rachel explained, “The toiletries that her initiative provided have been a lifeline for these people. It made a big difference. We don’t often get royal visits here and today made a big difference. You see children everywhere and they are so excited. For them, they are probably the most approachable royals. That was a huge boost.”
