Rabid Bobcat Attacks German Shepherd On A Walk, Good Samaritan Comes To The Rescue

Holy Moly, I think wildcats hate dogs too.

It doesn’t get any crazier than getting your dog to go for a walk around town.

Bobcats are wild little kittens. They can weigh up to 30 pounds and are quite vicious predators. I mean, imagine a mean little housecat on steroids, and that’s basically what a bobcat is.

The video from Anthem, Arizona shows a bobcat absolutely attached to the front of a rather large German shepherd. This is a strong dog used to trip people up and the bobcat overpowers it.

The dog was as good as a good boy could be, protecting its owner when the bobcat charged. A bystander rushes to help, and the two men literally try to peel the bobcat from the dog.

But it gets even crazier.

Finally they peel it off the dog, then it immediately attaches itself to the nice man who came to help. He swings the cat around violently and tries to throw it off, but it suits him well.

Eventually, it lets go and starts running to find a new target.

The Good Samaritan may have bitten off a little more than he could chew, as he called 911 after the bite.

Talk about an absolutely insane walk.

However, all escaped with only minor injuries… and a bit of rabies:

“Firefighters later arrived at the scene and tended the wounds. The man was taken to the hospital for a rabies vaccination. The bobcat tested positive for rabies. The dog’s owner was not injured.” Rabid Bobcat Attacks German Shepherd On A Walk, Good Samaritan Comes To The Rescue
