Officers from the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers group wish to help Rayne Police Department officers by presenting one of their cases in hopes of obtaining arrests related to the case.
Three men are still wanted for attempted first-degree murder following an alleged shooting on Sunday September 11 this year. Rayne Police Department chief Carroll Stelly told KLFY they are looking for the three men for allegedly shooting dead two youths.
Chasten Carrier, 22, of Church Point, Deante Carrier, 22, of Rayne, and Darius Senegal, 21, are wanted by police for attempted first-degree murder. The youths received treatment after the shooting and were discharged from a local hospital.
In addition to that case, KLFY reported that Deante Carrier was also charged in another case with attempted murder on six counts for a previous shooting case in Rayne.
Senegal also faces charges of attempted second-degree murder in a February shooting case when more than five dozen shots were fired at a vehicle.
Police describe Chasten Carrier as a black man, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. They say he has black hair and brown eyes. He was last known to reside at 410 South Eastern Avenue, Lot 3 in Rayne.
Police describe Dante Carrier as a black man, about six feet six inches tall and said to weigh about 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. His last known address was 6101 Standard Mill Road near Rayne.
Police describe Darius Senegal as a black man approximately five feet ten inches tall. The man is said to weigh around 180 kilograms. He has brown eyes and black hair. The man last lived at 505 Fourth Street in Rayne.
