razorblue joins Northern Echo’s Level Up campaign
razorblue has been in business for over 16 years and is headquartered in Stockton. But its national market means its 170+ strong team also operates from bases in Catterick, Manchester, Stirling, Newcastle and Leeds.
The company specializes in managed IT, cybersecurity services, super-fast connectivity, cloud and business applications across a wide range of industries.

Group Commercial Director Mark Wilkinson said the company wants to champion the region as a whole: “The Northeast is so exciting for business, with so much people don’t know about.” Celebrating the success of local businesses and building relationships with them as we all continue to grow.
“It’s such a strong region and we’re always committed to looking after each other and that’s an important concern for Razorblue. We are a UK based MSP offering a wide range of IT services nationwide but are proud of our roots in the North East. This is where we were born and this is where we want to grow.
“Like so many great companies here, we want to be recognized as a leader so we can have the strongest voice for the region and build confidence in what we can achieve by building strong long-term relationships.”
“Amazingly, the prevailing perception is that the North is not as well-equipped to succeed as the South. Those of us who live and work here know how wrong that is – and we are committed to correcting that view through the Level Up campaign.”
But we must also rise to the challenge as Level Up is pushing for the very best deal for the region, and razorblue CEO Dan Kitchen says there is a gap that needs to be bridged between local and national strategies to provide a support framework to help businesses grow and reinforce North East’s reputation.
He said: “The support at local and regional level has been great. The decentralization and regional mayor works well for the Tees Valley.
“Nationally it’s a different story. Economic and tax policy in this country was not designed with the knowledge that we are still recovering from a pandemic and at the same time have left the EU internal market. In my opinion, this is detrimental to growth and recovery.”
razorblue is the ninth leading company in the North East to join Level Up – now in its second year with the aim of bringing more focus to the region and showing how collaborative we already are – tailor made for investment and jobs .
Throughout the year the company will work with bp, believe housing, Cummins, Durham County Council, North East England Chamber of Commerce, Tees Valley Combined Authority, Teesside Freeport and Womble Bond Dickinson to support the North East and all it has to offer.
BUSINESSiQ – the business brand of The Northern Echo – works with our Level Up partners online, in print and at a range of increasingly popular live events across the region.
