Real Madrid president Florentino Perez rejects chance to sign Manchester City’s €100m target

Real Madrid have reportedly reconsidered their stance on signing Napolis Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Georgian sensation who lit up Serie A with his scintillating performances. With 12 goals and 15 assists in all competitions, it’s no wonder the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping a close eye on him.

However, it appears that Real Madrid have cooled their interest in the 22-year-old as El Nacional report the club are unwilling to meet the sky-high asking price of around €100m. It’s not just about the money for Los Blancos as president Florentino Perez has faith in their own rising star Rodrygo Goes.

The Brazilian youngster may not be surrounded by the same hype as his compatriot Vinicius Junior but he has certainly been impressive this season. With 10 goals and eight assists, Rodrygo has proved a key player for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, ahead of more established names like Dani Ceballos and Marco Asensio.

Los Blancos are confident in Rodrygo’s potential to become one of the best players in the world. They are unwilling to risk stunting its growth by fetching Kvaratskhelia for such a hefty fee. Ultimately, although they were amazed by the Georgian’s talent, they believe their faith in Rodrygo will pay off in the long run.
