Reece James shares new Cobham injury update as Chelsea await captain’s return

eece James has provided a positive injury update as the Chelsea captain looks to finally put an end to his fitness nightmare.
The England international officially took on the armband in the summer, marking a remarkable rise through the club’s youth ranks.
However, like last season, the 23-year-old has increasing injury problems and has not featured in Mauricio Pochettino’s team since the draw against Liverpool on the opening weekend.
Pochettino has always stressed that the Blues captain is not facing a lengthy break and the international break provides a natural opportunity to work on his fitness with James not involved in the England camp.
Instead, James posted a photo of himself training in Cobham with the caption: “Back soon.”
Malo Gusto was brought in as a replacement in January and has since progressed under Pochettino, but getting James back up to speed will be a big boost.
The pressure is on after Pochettino started the season with defeats to West Ham and Nottingham Forest in his first four games, especially after another summer of big spending.
