Residents at Ebor Court Nursing Home do the twist on the vintage tea dance

At the event in the Ebor Court lounge, staff, residents and guests wore their best 1950s outfits, put on their blue suede shoes and cheered the musical talents of Miss Lily Lovejoy.

Shane Talbot, the home’s manager, said: “Ebor Court’s Vintage Tea Dance was a huge success.”

“Our residents love to dance, especially when we invite live artists to their homes. That’s why we wanted to give them a special event where they can play jitterbug, rock’n’roll and boogie-woogie.

“The day couldn’t have been better. Everyone was smiling, dancing and singing to the amazing performance. We can’t wait for the next event in December.”

The next Ebor Court Vintage Tea Dance will take place on December 8th from 2:30 p.m. The home said everyone is welcome to dress up, hit the dance floor and enjoy homemade refreshments.
