Restaurant fires Fox News analyst for his conservative political views

In a Sunday morning appearance on Fox News’ Fox & Friends Weekend, Gianno Caldwell, a political analyst for the network, reported that he and his friends had been asked to leave Paradis Books and Bread, a restaurant in North Miami, Florida. in the morning.

In the video below, Caldwell said he and several new friends were discussing politics when the owner approached the table to say “she overheard their conversation” and that they were “not welcome” at the restaurant.

“This situation reminds me of something MLK said in 1963, a very simple truth,” Caldwell said. “[MLK] said: ‘Injustice everywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’ And what I experienced yesterday was an injustice to me and some of my neighbors who I am just getting to know. It was a grave injustice.”

His friends asked him if he liked “working at Fox News” and if he was a conservative.

He replied that he was indeed a Conservative and told them he had recently published a book called “Taken for granted: How conservatism can win Americans back that liberalism failed.”

“I spoke to them about my brother,” Caldwell said. (His brother, Christian, was shot in Chicago last June.)

He continued, “I was on Capitol Hill just the other day talking to members of Congress about violent crime in America and trying to get justice for my brother and other victims of violent crime.”

Is freedom of speech being attacked in America?

“This was so problematic for this lady that she told me I had to get out of her establishment. If that wasn’t the Jim Crow South, I couldn’t tell much of a difference.”

“This lady kept staring at me while I was in a restaurant. There’s a target on the backs of people who happen to be black, who happen to be conservative, and it has to end,” Caldwell added.

So these were the topics that the owner of Paradis Books and Bread found so offensive.

Fox reported that after the encounter, the restaurant posted on its public Instagram account that “her behavior [that of Caldwell and his friends] and her words made other people in the room, as well as the one of us who was working, very uncomfortable.”

In a later Instagram post, wrote: “YALLL. First of all, thank you for the absolute waterfall of support and love you have shown us over the last 18 hours or so. it brought us to tears several times and we love you all so much.

“As you already know, we are still being harassed online in the form of emails, comments and negative reviews that are not fun. However, we also received some really alarming messages online and calls on our private phones which ultimately prompted us to take our winter break a week early out of caution to ourselves and our community and to allow the news cycle to run its course. we love you all and we love what we do and we refuse to harm any of us or all of you.

“Please note that we feel incredibly supported and cannot thank you all enough. We really hope you can all understand and we can’t wait to open our doors to you again next month.”

The Instagram account has since been privatized.

It’s amazing that anyone would support such intolerant behavior. It is a direct attack on freedom of expression, the most basic right of an American citizen.

Liberals have never had much patience with conservatives, but what they really hate is a black conservative.

Florida Congressman Byron Donalds, a black conservative, said last week FoxNews He had been sent a copy of Harriet Beecher Stowe’s book Uncle Tom’s Cabin.

He said it was sent by a voter who had “hate in his heart”. [and] the desire to portray myself as a salesman.”

More and more black Americans are realizing the fact that the Democratic Party really hasn’t done all that much for them other than to keep them stuck in the cycle of poverty.
