Saints vs Rams Wednesday Injury Report

As the 2022 season began with championship ambitions, not much went wrong for the New Orleans Saints.

At 3-7, New Orleans holds the third-worst record in the league entering Week 11, currently has no first-round draft pick in 2023, and has been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL for much of this season.

After a disappointing 10-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday, the Saints return home this week to take on a team also in the midst of a disappointing season, the Los Angeles Rams (3-6).

The team’s overall health was one of many factors that contributed to the Saints’ struggles as they struggled with a variety of injuries to a number of key players over the course of the year.

The first injury report this week brings little optimism as three active starters on the offensive line (RT Ryan Ramczyk, LT James Hurst, LG Andrus Peat) were unable to train due to injuries, a third on IR in Erik McCoy, who will not be on the field until Week 15 at the earliest will return.

Backup center Josh Andrews, who started last Sunday in place of the injured McCoy, was also absent today.

Rams All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald probably has a smile on his face as he looks at today’s report.

In addition to the O-Line’s injury woes, several other key Saints have been unable to train, including All Pro cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who has missed the last 5 contests after being hit in the kidney in Week 5, and All Pro defensive end Cameron Jordan.

Here’s a full rundown of Saints Wednesday’s injury report.
