In addition to having a short layoff, the New Orleans Saints have major concerns over the injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Monday night’s horrific 27-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens did more damage than just the W/L split.
Starting center Erik McCoy left the game with an injury, as did Marcus Davenport in the starting XI.
Additionally, starting linebacker Pete Werner, the team’s lead tackler that season, had to drive an injury cart to the locker room during the game.
As expected, all three feature in today’s injury report, with two of them leaning towards not playing in McCoy and Werner this week while Davenport was restricted.
They are joined on the injury report by 7 players including new signings Marcus Maye (abdominal) and Cam Jordan (rest).
New Orleans (3-6) desperately needs a win Sunday in Pittsburgh.
