As if suburbia wasn’t a spooky prospect now, add in demon-possessed housewives and you have Sam Raimi’s next horror film. Legendary Entertainment, Feigco Entertainment and Ghost House have inked a deal for a short adaptation of Suburban Hell to be adapted by Maureen Kilmer.
The film is not yet known as the project is in the early stages of planning; However, the inspiration Suburban Hell gives a lot of information about what the film could look like. It centers on a group of suburban housewives who suffer from naming a member of the neighborhood’s possessions.
The premise certainly seems spot on with a balance of horrific moments juxtaposed with the monotonous everyday life of suburban housewives. With the help of her talented author Joanna Calo (The Bear) and the producers Paul Feig and Laura Fischer, Raimi will also embark on the great journey in this wild journey.
The truth is that a novel adaptation of the novel Suburban Hell is only meant to be made into a movie. But every day you read about news when they break.
If you want to check out Raimi’s work, you can download Doctor Strange on Disney+. Doctor Strange has some classic cults like The Dead, but if you want to go straight for the creeps then you can rent some of his songs like The Dead Dead and The Dead Dead II on Amazon Prime Video for $3.99.
