Sara Sharif’s mother speaks on Polish television about her grief after her daughter’s death

The mother of 10-year-old Sara Sharif has spoken of the grief she felt when she went to the mortuary to identify her daughter’s body.
Sara’s body was found at a property in Hammond Road, Woking, after her father called police from Pakistan on August 10 and a post-mortem later revealed she suffered “multiple and serious injuries” over a “sustained and prolonged” period had of time.
She was living with her father Urfan Sharif and his partner Beinash Batool when she died.
Speech on the Polish television program Uwaga! Olga Sharif said on TVN: “One of her cheeks was swollen and the other side was injured.
“Even now, when I close my eyes, I can see what my baby looked like.”
Mr Sharif, 41, Ms Batool, 29, and his brother Faisal Malik, 28, are said to have traveled to Islamabad on August 9 and are wanted by police for questioning.
They were traveling with five children between the ages of one and 13, Surrey police said.
Sara’s grandfather previously told the BBC that her death was an “accident” and three family members who left the UK for Pakistan would “eventually” return to face police questioning.
Muhammad Sharif said he saw his son Urfan Sharif, Sara’s father, shortly after his arrival in the South Asian country’s city of Jhelum and said he had fled Britain out of “fear”.
Surrey Police are appealing for information to help them build a picture of Sara’s lifestyle before her death.
Surrey County Council previously told the PA news agency that Sara was known to local authorities.
Authorities in Pakistan are searching for the trio and lawyers in Britain said the country’s government was unlikely to block an extradition request in connection with Sara’s death.
There is no formal extradition treaty between the UK and Pakistan, but people have already been sent back from the Asian country.
The full interview with Ms Sharif will be broadcast on Polish TV on Wednesday at 7.55pm local time.
