Security guard attacked and items stolen from Asda in Huntington, York

North Yorkshire Police officers have released CCTV footage of a man they are trying to trace in connection with the theft of alcohol and an attack on a security guard at the Asda Superstore in Huntington.

A police spokesman said: “It happened outside the main entrance at around 4.45pm on Tuesday August 1st.

“A man is suspected of taking bottles of wine and spirits off the shelf and leaving the store without paying.

“He was attacked and assaulted by a store security guard. Luckily he was not injured in the incident.”

“We would ask the public to come forward if they recognize the man in the CCTV image.”
