Selena Gomez has mooted getting a kidney transplant from her “best friend” Francia Raisa amid speculation about a rift between the actors.

In the latest episode of the Apple TV Plus documentary series Dear…Gomez explained how Raisa offered to donate her kidney to the singer in 2017.

“My best friend. Her name is Francia. She said, ‘No, I’m absolutely getting tested,'” Gomez said. “And within three days she got tested and she was a match. And it was one of those moments, in I felt like I was being watched. I know I was so lucky.”

Gomez added that Raisa “isn’t even thoughtful [being] a donor” is “incredibly overwhelming” and that she will “never, ever owe anyone more than Francia.”

In September 2017, Gomez announced that Raisa had donated her kidney Only murders in the building Star. She underwent the procedure after complications from lupus, the autoimmune disease Gomez was diagnosed at age 24.

Rumors of a falling out between Gomez and Raisa began circulating after the “Lose You to Love You” singer called Taylor Swift her “only friend in the industry” during an interview with Taylor Swift Rolling Stone last November.

In response to coverage of Gomez’s comments about Swift, Raisa commented, “Interesting” on one E! News post about it.
