‘Sinister’ graffiti daubed on Co Armagh road condemned by local politician

Sectarian graffiti that has surfaced in a Co Armagh town has been condemned by a local council as “worrisome and sinister”.

LSter Unionist Party councilor David Taylor slammed the message, which was written on a street in Newtownhamilton and read: ‘All Prods ar [sic] Goals”.

Doodled on Markethill Road, Mr Taylor said the “sectarian” message had been reported to police.

“Sectarian graffiti appeared on Markethill Road in Newtownhamilton over the weekend,” he wrote.

“The graffiti is targeting the local Protestant community and this is obviously a very worrying and eerie development.

“I have spoken to the police to ask them to investigate this hate crime and to other law enforcement agencies to demand that the graffiti be removed as soon as possible [as soon as possible].”

The PSNI has been contacted.
