Six people have been arrested after Halton-area police said a drug operation that spanned the entire Golden Horseshoe collapsed this month.

According to police, the drugs and firearms seized during the investigation were worth an estimated $1 million.

Nicknamed “Project Spectre,” police departments from Halton, Peel Region, Hamilton and the OPP executed search warrants on May 4 and 5 at five locations in Toronto, two in Hamilton, and one each in Oakville and Thorold.
Five suspects were arrested at the time, and a sixth person was arrested on Tuesday.
At the Thorold site, police officers said they found and mined an active psilocybin manufacturing facility.
Drugs seized included cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy), fentanyl, packaged cannabis edibles, packaged psilocybin, psilocybin in various growth stages, hashish, ketamine, oxycodone and hydromorphone pills, cathanone (bath salts) and cutting agents.

Police also seized approximately $246,000 worth of Canadian cash, five firearms and a high-capacity 50-round drum magazine. The origin of the firearms is investigated.
39-year-old Toronto resident Christopher Causgrove-Carter faces multiple charges, including five counts of possession for human trafficking, three counts of possession for distribution, 12 counts of felonies involving firearms and prohibited devices, and possession of proceeds from criminal offenses and a violation of the Weapons Prohibition Ordinance.

Michael Eyre, 38, of Ancaster, faces two counts of possession for trafficking, two counts of possession for distribution, manufacture of a controlled substance and possession of the proceeds of crime.
Parham Tabrizi, 38, of Toronto, faces three counts of possession for human trafficking, possession for distribution and possession of crime proceeds.
Marta Plewka, 37, of Oakville, faces obsession for human trafficking and obsession for distribution.
37-year-old Michael Vanderzanden from Hamilton is at risk of violating the Firearms Prohibition Act.

Causgrove-Carter, Currie and Eyre were held on bail while Tabrizi, Vanderzanden and Plewka were released with a later court date.
At the time of their arrests, Causgrove-Carter and Vanderzanden were under a gun ban and were prohibited from owning a gun.
