This article contains spoilers for Sky Rojo Season 3 Episode 8, “Gold, Incense, and Lead” as well as a candid discussion of the ending of Sky Rojo Season 3.

The final of Heaven Rojo season 3 begins with Coral breaking free so she can save the suicidal Moises from drowning, and points out the absurdity of him committing suicide when he’s supposed to be the one taking care of her. But it’s easy to see why Moises is confused. The show hasn’t been able to decide if he’s a good guy or a bad guy, or when, for almost three seasons now is Being a good guy, it’s impossible for him to reconcile all the terrible things he’s done as a villain. Very confusing, and he wasn’t exactly likable this season, or indeed any of the others.

Sky Rojo Season 3 Episode 8 Summary

This gives Coral a chance. As Coral – unnecessarily naked – recovers from his ordeal, she collects a series of crushed pills and debates that fall down the rabbit hole once again. But she hesitates, and we’ll catch up on that scene in a moment.

However, we cut off to catch up with Wendy and Greta, who are trying to convince Diego and his sister to let them stay there, and if you want to talk about characters who are understandably confused, then let’s talk about Greta. Within hours she has learned that her new friend really is a runaway after escaping a brothel with several million dollars stolen from a vengeful pimp and seeing several people die. Now a surrogate parent to a baby not hers, she has seen Wendy abandon her only friend in Coral, whom she has always referred to as family, while at the same time trying to convince Greta that she only cares about the family. Damn!

Watching Wendy go into flirt mode by default to try to manipulate Diego reminds Greta that she doesn’t really know this person; that she has a complicated, difficult past, which she is still very much shaped by and which she grasps reflexively in the present. Wendy sees the flaw in her approach and particularly in leaving Coral on the side of the road, so she does the one thing someone being pursued by hit men shouldn’t do and fires a flare into the air. This is a signal to alert Coral to her location, and she sees it correctly as she’ll snort that line, but so do Darwin and Beefcake.

The killers get there first and Darwin attacks Diego and his sister with a golf club. But since Wendy and Greta knew they were coming, they had time to prepare Home aloneAmbush in which the men are doused with petrol and set on fire with the flare guns. As they burn noisily to death, Wendy films them crying in agony. When Coral and Moises arrive, Darwin and Beefcake are both dead.

Sky Rojo season 3 ending explained

That leaves Romeo, who spent the episode hilariously repenting of a priest he effectively kidnapped, forcing the girls to seek forgiveness from him as well. This crisis of conscience was caused by his near-death experiences and seeing his daughters almost caught in the line of fire. But he has gone too far to be redeemed, even if he believes he has made peace with his Maker. When Moises, Coral, Wendy and Diego arrive and start shooting everyone, Romeo hides behind the girls.

There are a few loyalists at the club, but most get lost in a hail of gunfire – there’s no particular reason for Diego to be here, but I knew as soon as he showed up that he was far too handsome to be a minor supporting character to be – and the rest will take care of itself when Wendy shows them the video of Darwin and Beefcake smoldering. Since there is no one left to hunt or punish them, why not? Why risk dying for the coward above?

So Romeo is left to his fate, put in the same tank he sealed that guy in earlier in the season while the club burns down around him. Everyone else goes with the girls. Romeo’s remaining men presumably disperse.

Who survives in Sky Rojo Season 3?

Since Gina died earlier in the season, only two of our most important girls survive the finale – Coral and Wendy. Coral stays sober despite saying goodbye to Moises as she can never quite get over what he’s done, and Wendy stays with Greta. Between the three women, Gina’s child, who also survives, is likely to lead an interesting but well-cared for life.

Diego and his sister both survive, although Darwin rattles them with a golf club. All the girls from the club survive and are transported away on a bus to live a full and free life no longer the property of a sadist.
