Snabba Cash really revolves around the drain in its second season, touching on many of the same themes and ideas as season one as the characters continue to make very similar mistakes (most of them related to financial management). It’s also a bit unnecessarily complicated, with a shaky script stretched to uneven proportions by a slow pace and misguided focus. But still, here’s how things went.

Snabba Cash season 2 ending explained

As we rejoin the characters, we find that Leya is doing quite well, at least materially. TargetCoach is to be taken public. She dresses more elegantly. She is still moderately haunted by the things she needed to be privy to to get there, including Salim’s death and Tim’s fall. The guilt and trauma begin to overwhelm her, and Tomas’ wishy-washy attitude doesn’t help.

Things are even worse for Ravy. His girlfriend is pregnant, but if he doesn’t leave his old life behind completely, he’ll never be able to build a life with her. But he’s broke, so he needs to get back in the game, especially with a new rival named Zaki – basically the Jamie from Ravy’s Dushane, in case anyone was watching top boy – wants to build his own empire. Zaki is ruthless, uses children in his business and also knows Tim from prison, so all in all not a good mix.

Leya gets caught up in all this once again because she needs money to cover up one of Tomas’ mistakes with an illegal transaction code, so she offers to act as a middleman in one of Markos’ deals. Zaki eventually kills Markos and tells Leya that she has to work for him, but since getting Zaki out of the way benefits them, Nala and Osman agree to help Leya, especially as they lose faith in Ravy, who is determined to go straight, start a life with his girlfriend and maintain a relationship with Sami.

You know how all this talk about getting out of “life” and seeking God and forgiveness works in stories like this, so Ravy bites the dust. Out of revenge and need, Leya, with Nala’s help, manages to corner and kill Zaki, although the act is not easy given her ongoing sense of trauma and responsibility for what happened to Salim.

There’s a clear point here — that getting everything you wanted isn’t necessarily a happy ending. Leya is hitting the target with TargetCoach, and her newfound success should ideally mean that she can leave the seedy life behind. But she still has to live with what she saw and did, for which she was responsible. At the very end of the season, Jamal, a kindhearted guy who had a close relationship with Leya, tells her he knows who she is – through her association with the same gangsters whose businesses have caused the deaths of children. She claims he doesn’t know anything about her – and she’s probably right, because she hardly knows who she is anymore.
