Spectacular wind turbine fire sends clouds of black smoke across city
The 125 m high turbine is located in the fields of Oak Road between Clough Road and Sutton Fields in Hull, close to the Croda chemical works.
Humberside Fire & Rescue said it had received “multiple” calls about the fire, which broke out around 7am, and said crews were present.
