Spice Girls Release Stop Alternative Music Video To Celebrate Hit Song’s 25th Anniversary

The Spice Girls are celebrating 25 years since the release of hit single Stop with the release of an alternative music video.
In the clip, the girl group of five, consisting of Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton, can be seen in the middle of a street in a row with kids playing around them as they buckle up from the classic stretch .
They then performed an intricate series of choreographed dance moves, all in time with one another.
The original music video was filmed on Carnew Street, Dublin and featured scenes of each member of the group knocking on different doors.
Speaking of the concept for the video, Mel B said, “There was no storyboard for this video – it was more trial and error.

“And we all want to do our part, so the director has to be able to get us all involved, put his ideas on top and make it all work.”
The second half of the video showed the group interacting with young girls dancing through the streets and participating in various playground activities such as jumping rope, hopscotch, cat cradle, pat-a-cake and hula-hooping.
The new video follows on from Spiceworld25’s November 2022 release and celebrates 25 years of their second studio album, originally released on November 1, 1997.
While they’re keen to mark their special milestones, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up of seeing them back on the Spice Girls stage anytime soon.

Speaking to the Guardian newspaper’s G2 supplement, she said: “That’s the question I hate the most because the answer is as disappointing to me as it is to Spice Girls fans.
“We would like to do Glasto. It just doesn’t fit into the current plan with the girls. We want to be back on stage – everything is up in the air.”
They last reunited three years ago without Beckham for the Spice World Tour in 2019.
