Strictly fans praise Layton and Nikita after they scored three tens

Layton Williams and his professional dance partner Nikita performed the salsa and impressed the judges so much that they were awarded three tens.

Judges Anton du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas awarded the 10 points, giving the pair an impressive 39 points.

They weren’t the only couple to score a 10, Ellie and Vito also achieved this prestigious mark, scoring a total of 37 points.

This comes amid the notable absence of actress Amanda Abington Be sure to come dance.

A representative for the show said: “Due to medical reasons, Amanda Abbington will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.”

“Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that, all being well, Amanda and Giovanni will return the following week.”

Fans watching Strictly Come Dancing took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts Layton Williams and Nikita’s dance with one BBC Viewer writes: “Oh Layton and Nikita, you have my heart. Layton is the most amazing dancer and performer and that salsa was INCREDIBLE.”

Another shared that the act “took their breath away” and said: “Layton and Nikita leave me breathless, honestly unbelievable.”

One X user wrote: “Tears coming #StrictlyComeDancing.”

However, some fans were unhappy with the high marks, with one saying: “The scoring is absolute rubbish tonight, Anton says it’s almost perfect, then it’s a 10, but Ellie’s a 9, I’m sure of that now.”
