Student buys a 7-night holiday to Benidorm for 21 quid – including flights

A WOMAN has secured a seven-day holiday to Spain, including flights and accommodation, for just £20.92.

Sophie Kearins, a student from Manchester, successfully bid on Jet2Holidays Bid on a Break and secured a 4 star stay at the Marina Hotel in Benidorm.

Bid for a Break offers vacationers the opportunity to bid on their next vacation each week on the tour operator’s mobile app.

The person with the lowest original bid will receive the holiday at the price offered.

Bids open at 9am on Mondays and can be submitted until midday on Thursday before the lowest single bid is announced on the same day, but the campaign is on hiatus until 2023.

Holidaymakers have also successfully bid to the Canary Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, the Algarve and Turkey with winning bids from £1.40 and secured short breaks.

Sophie said, “I entered Jet2holidays Offer to take a break every week since I walked away with Jet2holidays To Portugal earlier this year.

“I saw the advert for the ‘Bid for a Break’ competition and thought I had nothing to lose! I didn’t have a big strategy for my bid amount, I just called the first four numbers that came to mind.

“I can’t believe I actually won and can’t wait to go on holiday with him Jet2holidays again!”

Another winner is Neil Allard, who paid £1.40 for a trip to Paphos, Cyprus.

Other winners this year include Neil White who booked his bargain trip to Poland through the Bid for a Break scheme.

Joanna Liburd also booked a £1.40 Jet2 trip to Cyprus in June this year, staying seven nights at The Royal Apollonia on the holiday island.
