Take a peek inside the reopened The Miners Arms in Eston, Middlesbrough
The Miners Arms on Eston High Street in Middlesbrough reopened on Thursday (18 May) after investing £310,000.
The event, hosted by “community hero” Nicki Jack, was also attended by Redcar MP Jacob Young, who spoke to her about the pub’s future plans.
Ms Jack said she was delighted with the pub’s opening night and enjoyed welcoming new and returning customers.

She said: “Opening night was fantastic, it was amazing to see all our customers, old and new, coming out to see what the pub has to offer.”
“The feedback we’ve received from our community has been great and we can’t wait to see them again soon.”
Matthew Gurney, Operations Manager at Proper Pubs said: “The refurbishment at the Miners Arms looks fantastic, the team have worked really hard to ensure it is a success for the local community.”
“On behalf of the Proper Pubs team, we wish our community hero Nicki every success in the future in making the Miners Arms an amazing community hub.”

The pub has been refurbished to allow the addition of its own sports and entertainment area as well as a brand new bar and new furniture and flooring.
It also features flat screen televisions for entertainment, brand new lighting and signage to welcome customers and a renovated outdoor space.
Customers were treated to a live rock performance by local singer and artist Micky Glamz.
The Miners Arms offers a wide range of drinks including cocktails, wine and lemonade and a full sports package including Sky, BT Sports and horse racing.

The pub will also host an annual program of community events including Sunday afternoon games and fundraisers to benefit the local food bank.
Proper Pubs will support communities through a range of events and charitable fundraising initiatives.
This Easter, the company collected over 12,200 Easter eggs for local charities and recently installed its 85th property-wide defibrillator.
