A 19-year-old man was arrested in Co Tyrone after a helicopter chase.
It was after he fled a vehicle that had been stopped by police.
Officers were patrolling the main street in the village of Plumbridge around 8pm on Tuesday night when they stopped a gray Volkswagen Passat.
Investigations revealed the vehicle was involved in an incident on Letterkenny Road in Derry earlier that day.
While police were dealing with the incident, the teenager drove away, prompting a police chase.
The pursuit brought the vehicle to a halt on Curlyhill Road in Strabane and officers used the police helicopter to locate the 19-year-old.
He was arrested on suspected offenses including dangerous driving, failing to act for police and possession of a driver’s license.
He currently remains in custody.
Sergeant Caldwell said: “This is a great example of proactive policing involving our county neighborhood officers and air support unit.”
Police have urged anyone who may have caught the Volkswagen Passat’s movements before or after 8pm to call 101, quoting the reference 1760 of August 2.
