The Batman cast had unlockable scripts without Detectors to Avoid Leaks

DC did everything it could to stop the leak of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, revealing it was given a lockable binder with a tracking device to keep the document documents safe.

Speaking to GQ Hype, Dano explained that he received paper copies of scripts and other production materials, along with the special folder to keep them all safe.

The production team would tell him not to lose that. Write it in your special folder! Dano said he’s become accustomed to the film companies employing various tactics to keep their films on track. “But that was my first place on my folder. They put on a tracking device and then added it.

The tactic appears to be working, but before the film’s March 2022 release, quite a bit of The Batman was leaked, while locked binders weren’t the only ones used to prevent the horror. Reeves even shot fake scenes protecting a big show in the final act.

The film quickly gained commercial and critical success, grossing $480 million within two weeks of its theatrical release. DC clearly has faith in Reeves’ vision for the Robert Pattinson-led Batman franchise and is quick to confirm that a sequel with two spin-off shows is on the way.

Though the shows are said to be centered on Colin Farrell’s Penguin and The Gotham PD, the cast and crew have shared what they want to cover in the full sequel. Pattinson wants to take on the Court of Owls saga, while director Matt Reeves hopes to bring Mr. Freeze into the dark and fun Batman universe.

While this might just be the beginning of the larger universe, Reeves is reportedly in talks with other directors and writers to create films inspired by Batman villains like Scarecrow, Clayface, and Professor Pyg.

The original IGN said that while we give it my 10/10 review, “Matt Reeves, a violent, thrilling, darkly beautiful Take a Batman, more than justifies its place in the franchise canon.” The Batman cast had unlockable scripts without Detectors to Avoid Leaks
