The cheapest Wetherspoons in the UK appear in a new interactive map

But with the cost of living crisis taking a toll on many people’s spending habits, many are choosing not to visit their pub as many pubs are concerned about their future.

But now there’s a way to find out where you can get your favorite tipple across the UK: find the cheapest pint with a new interactive ‘alcohol’ map from Pantry & Larder.

Using Wetherspoon branches across the country, the map was created using over 16,0000 prices from the brand’s pubs across the UK.

They found that the price of a pint of Carling varies by a massive 191%, ranging from £2.29 to £5.99.

Unsurprisingly to some, Gatwick Airport has one of the highest prices, with a pint of Carling costing £6.30. However, the map shows you could be two miles away and sipping a pint that’s significantly cheaper at £2.58.

You can now see the full map via the website.

On the menu you can search for a specific alcoholic drink, from Guinness, Gordon’s Gin, Rose to WKD Blue.

You can even find out where the cheapest place to drink is near you. Simply search for your local venue and see what other Wetherspoons are nearby that may be cheaper.

The cheapest drink of all is the Camden Hells at just £4.28 in chain Scottish pubs.

But if you head to The Moon Under Water in central London, the same drink costs £7.35.

Elsewhere in Cardiff, at The Mount Stuart, a single from Gordons costs £5.51.

But in neighboring Newport at John Wallace Linton the same drink is almost two pounds cheaper at £2.06.

Veronica Fletcher from Pantry & Larder said: “Drink prices vary hugely across the UK. And it’s not as simple as London being more expensive than the rest of the UK.”

“For example, a bottle of Prosecco costs £16.39 locally. Less than five kilometers away, the exact same drink is 39% cheaper.”

“Interestingly, certain drinks such as Camden Hells lager are significantly cheaper in Scotland.”
