The countdown to Spring’s Malton Food Lovers Festival

Visitors will find another fresh program of live demonstrations by renowned chefs, over 100 food stalls, live music, traditional rides and family entertainment on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

Leading this year’s main stage line-up is famous face and pastry chef Benoit Blin – appearing as a judge on Bake Off: The Professionals – who will return to Malton after wowing crowds with his inverted chocolate sprinkles at the Malton 2021 Festival of Foodies . This May bank holiday weekend, Benoit will be making a splash on stage with not one, but two demonstrations a day.

Also returning by popular demand is Great British Bake Off 2019 winner David Atherton, who hails from Whitby and sees this as his local food festival. This year, the star baker will be back on the main stage, conjuring up even more delicious treats for festival-goers.

In addition to these special guests, there will also be a host of great local producers, chefs and bakers on the main stage, including local gem Kathryn Bumby from the Yorkshire Pasta Company, who will bring Italian flavors to the food capital of Yorkshire. Additionally, Malton legend Gilly Robinson of Malton’s cooking school, The Cook’s Place, will create some exciting seasonal dishes.

Nicknamed ‘Yorkshire’s Foodie Glastonbury’, the Malton Food Lovers Festival takes place right in the heart of the city and offers great views and even more great food and drink throughout the weekend.

Admission to the Malton Food Lovers Festival is free and the fun starts at 9am on Saturday and 10am on Sunday.

There are designated Festival Park and Ride car parks that operate daily (for a small fee). Park and Ride service will be available at any entrance to Malton from the A64, with a regular shuttle bus service direct to the event entrance. Malton is also easily accessible by train or bus, with the hourly Liverpool-Scarborough line and the award-winning Yorkshire Coastliner – the station is a 10-minute walk from the festival entrance.
