The Everyman Northallerton cinema opens its doors on Saturday

The newest venue from the Everyman cinema chain is in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, bringing their signature velvet sofas and armchairs to the city.

The first films will be shown on the screens today (Saturday, May 20) in the Treadmills development.

Guests can relax on the comfortable sofas and armchairs while watching a movie on the big screen, with access to a bar and an extensive menu, all delivered to your seat.

The menu features hand-stretched pizzas, beef burgers, and small plates with honey halloumi and shrimp tempura.

The cinema also offers a vegan menu, specialty beers, wine and cocktails, milkshakes, freshly baked cookie dough and make-your-own sundaes.

The brand has already opened or is about to open venues across the North East including in Newcastle, York, Durham and Harrogate. Northallerton will be the 39th location nationwide.

The treadmill destination is being developed by Central Northallerton Development Company. The company says it is “determined to deliver a quality mixed-use project that includes retail, restaurants, cinema, cafes, residential buildings and a technology center.”

The tenth installment in the Fast & Furious series, Guardians of the Galaxy volume three and the Super Mario Bros. movie are among the films shown this first weekend.
