The former WWE Champion believes the top woman could dethrone Gunther or Austin Theory in 2023

It’s only been a little over a week since 2023, and already things seem to be heating up ahead of WWE Royal Rumble.

WWE recently released a video in which several current stars predicted some of the biggest events of 2023, including Royal Rumble winners and Money in the Bank holders.

Kofi Kingston had a brief part in the video where he spoke about what he thought was the most surprising moment of 2023. The former WWE Champion claimed that he believes Rhea Ripley will become an Intercontinental or United States Champion sometime this year.

Gunther currently holds the Intercontinental Championship on SmackDown while Austin Theory is the US Champion on RAW.

This would bring Ripley into the same conversation as Chyna as she is the only woman to have captured a male title in history.

Rhea Ripley is currently the Eradicator of The Judgment Day in WWE RAW

Rhea Ripley made a lot of enemies in 2022, and some of them are sure to follow her into the new year. Recent reports suggest that Edge and Beth Phoenix will return to the ring in the coming weeks after Judgment Day sidelined the real-life couple back at Extreme Rules.

Ripley vs. Phoenix is what many fans think is a dream match, but for now, reports are suggesting it will be a tag team match that could see Edge and Phoenix take on Ripley and Finn Balor.

Of course, plans are always changing and the recent return of Vince McMahon could ensure that some new plans are in play and the fanbase could get their much-anticipated dream women’s match.

Do you think Rhea Ripley will be the first woman since Chyna to win the Intercontinental or United States Championships? Do share your thoughts in the comment section below.
