‘The Laundress’ Issues HUGE Recall of Its Cleaning Products

A well-known detergent and cleaning agent manufacturer has issued a massive recall of some of its products.
According to Good Morning America, The Laundress issued a safety statement on its products back in November, urging customers to stop using the products.
The reason: The company found that the products contained “increased levels of bacteria” and issued the safety declaration out of caution.
In the statement, the company promised an update in the near future.
This update came in the form of a recall today and the list of recalled products is long, affecting over 8 million units.
Above the list of recalled products, The Laundress published the lot codes consumers need to discontinue use and discard immediately.
Consumers should stop using the recalled products in the list below with lot codes starting with a prefix F and the last four digits with the number 9354 or less, H and the last four digits with the number 2262 or less and T with the last four digits start with number, set immediately 5264 or less. – The washerwoman’s recall
According to an Instagram post, The Laundress said the bacteria that could be found in the recalled products include:
- Burkholderia cepacia complex
- Klebsiella aerogenes
- several different species of Pseudomonas
The company also said the bacteria that may be present in its products could enter the body and cause serious infections in people with certain medical conditions. They also state that people with a healthy immune system are not usually at high risk of contracting these bacteria.
