“Before Leandro went to Qatar, Brighton wanted to sign Leandro. This did not happen as the parties could not come to an agreement. Leandro has also indicated that he is ready for his next step.”

They add that after an altercation with another player, the coach stops speaking to the player:

“After the World Cup there was a dispute between Leandro and a player in training over a small matter. Since then, the manager hasn’t spoken to Leandro, which of course doesn’t help the atmosphere and isn’t performance-oriented either.”

The statement continued:

“Leandro still had a spot against Southampton and Arsenal but he was on the bench against Everton. He wasn’t included in the five changes that took place at the time either, with no explanation whatsoever.”
