The NFL is Appealing Deshaun Watson’s Six Game Suspension

According to Breaking News, the NFL plans to appeal Deshaun Watson’s 6-game suspension, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Brian McCarthy, who works in public relations for the NFL, said Commissioner Roger Goodell will determine who hears the appeal. But ultimately the decision will fall on him as NFL rules state that a complaint is processed expeditiously and the commissioner can overturn, reduce, modify or increase the previously imposed penalty and the new decision is final for everyone. However, the NFL PA has two days to respond to this appeal.

Remember Deshaun Watson said he and the NFL PA would take this to federal court if Goodell tried to get him suspended for a year. And according to Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson, Goodell Watson wants a full-season suspension.

Just when we thought the Deshaun Watson saga was over, we were right back in it. And look personally, I think he deserves at least a year’s suspension, if not much more. If that’s what Roger Goodell is doing, then this is the first time the NFL has put a victim first in situations like this.
