The Outwaters: “Really Terrifying” Horror Movie

The first trailer for a horror movie that’s kicking off people’s Apple Watch heart rate alerts has been released.

While the new release arrived in the US in February, UK fans had to wait a little longer.

Titled The OutwatersThe film is a found footage horror film that follows a group of friends who travel to the Mojave Desert to shoot a music video.

What begins as a simple film evolves into a “dizzying trip through terror” in which actor-director Robbie Banfitch unleashes a “hellish” sensory experience on viewers in the form of “inexplicable sounds and vibrations.”

The synopsis states, “Mysterious sounds pursue them, and as a menacing force descends, their horrific journey into soul-destroying darkness begins.”

After its US premiere The Outwaters was branded by as a “disturbed nightmare”. a Twitter userwho claimed it had triggered his Apple Watch’s “high heart rate” alarm twice.

Another viewer, Brandy Sims, wrote, “It was disorienting, disturbing, extremely scary and an absolute trip to hell,” while another claimed they had to “leave the theater to throw up.”

Meanwhile, Twitter user Bethany branded the last half of the “really terrifying” film a “panic attack.”

Speaking of finals, The daily beast described it as “2001: A Space Odyssey processed by a meat grinder”.

The divisive film achieves a Rotten Romatoes score of 71 percent.
