The popular WPT Prime Tour heads to Amsterdam from March 24th


The Holland Casino in Amsterdam, home of the world famous Masters Classic of Pokerprepares to welcome thousands of poker tournament players from across Europe and beyond when the WPT Prime Tour stops in The Netherlands from March 24th.

Schedule of the WPT Prime Amsterdam 2023
WPT Prime Amsterdam takes place from March 24thand crowns its final champion April 1st. Between these dates there are more than a dozen tournaments and satellites with buy-ins ranging from €165 to €2,200, including the much-anticipated one €1,100 WPT Prime Amsterdam Main Event.
The €1,100 WPT Prime Amsterdam Main Event features a trio of starts, with Day 1A being reshuffled and dealt on March 28th at 12:30pm CET. Day 1B begins at the same time on March 29th with a turbo-structured Day 1C also scheduled for March 29th at 19:00 GMT.
Both Day 1A and 1B are played on a 40 minute clock, while Day 1C uses 20 minute levels. All three flights end with approximately 12.5% of the field remaining (one in eight participants), with those players making Day 2 in the money. Day 2 plays off a 60-minute clock and ends when the eight-hand final table is set, while the final day uses 60-minute blinds until heads-up; they are then shortened to 30 minutes.
Although the Main Event is the tournament that everyone wants to win, there are many other tournaments that will draw hundreds if not thousands of players to Holland Casino Amsterdam.
The €565 NLHE opener is the perfect way to get the festival show on the road while the €840 NLHE premium Event where €250 will be awarded for each defeated opponent will no doubt prove popular. Then there are the PLO with antes tournaments and a €2,200 buy-in High Roller. Everything points to WPT Prime Amsterdam being an incredible week of live poker action.

Two WPT Prime Main Events have crowned their worthy champions in 2023, although that number will increase to three at some point WPT Prime Cambodia ends in the run-up to the Amsterdam celebrations.
Frenchman Fabrice Bigot Castagnet triumphed in the €1,100 WPT Prime Paris Main Event. He survived 1,070 opponents and walked away with €177,240 for his win.
Australia Sheng Ye became a WPT Prime Champion after winning in front of a crowd of 1,224 in the A$2,000 WPT Prime Gold Coast Main Event. Ye replenished his bankroll with A$374,953 ($253,264).
