The Rabbit Hole in Durham City reopens after renovation
The Rabbit Hole on Hallgarth Street has recently completed a “stylish makeover” with a revamp of its premises and a menu of Cantonese fusion cuisine.
With a 4-star rating on TripAdvisor, the business is already known for its extensive Middle Eastern menu, which features everything from Peking duck, ribs, rice and noodle dishes to curries.

Their dishes are also said to be “meant to be shared” and will be served alongside an extensive cocktail menu, some of which can be seen in the restaurant’s latest images.
Owners Sam Gadd and Zak Newton spoke of the latest chapter in the venue’s history as they aim to offer “luxury food at affordable prices.”
They said: “We felt it was time to evolve and revamp The Rabbit Hole, streamlining the offering and opening our doors to everyone.”

Images from inside the modernized venue show plush velvet seating areas against dark painted walls and dim lighting.
The Rabbit Hole is owned by the Zen Group, which includes Zen-Durham’s favorite Thai restaurant, Tango, and new addition to the group, Whitechurch.
