The royals were expecting to join King for the coronation procession

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ three children are all expected to take part in the procession from Westminster Abbey that will follow the King’s coronation on May 6.

As the Times reported, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are likely to accompany the King and Queen as they leave the Abbey after the service.

The children are expected to join their parents in a carriage behind Charles and Camilla, who will be traveling in the Golden State Coach on their return to Buckingham Palace.

George turns nine and Louis five, while Charlotte turns eight just four days before the coronation.

George, who is second in line to the throne, and Charlotte attended the state funeral of their great-grandmother the Queen at Westminster Abbey in September.

Prince Louis was not present and is believed to be too young to attend the service with his parents, William and Kate.

The royal children wowed the crowds as they flaunted their royal waves as they celebrated their great-grandmother the Queen’s platinum anniversary last year.

They appeared on the palace balcony for the flyby, which drew some comical reactions from Louis, who was covering his ears, likely due to the roar of the plane overhead.

Louis also shared a sweet moment with his grandfather as he sat on Charles’ lap during the jubilee competition as the parade passed the royal box on the final day of celebrations.

The Times reported that current coronation rehearsal plans do not include the Duke and Duchess of Sussex or the Duke of York attending the procession.

The newspaper also reported that Harry and Meghan’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have not yet been invited to the coronation.

The date of the coronation is Archie’s fourth birthday, while Lilibet doesn’t turn two until June 4th.
