The scary Scottish clown sends a message to Alison Hammond
The person has appeared in the Scottish village of Skelmorlie just before Halloween in recent years and was interviewed on an episode of This Morning on Monday (October 16).
The clown has left red balloons and clues around the village and people are asked to find them and solve the puzzles that make up a word.
Videos from the clown were posted on local Facebook pages under the name Cole Deimos, but the character’s true identity remains a mystery.

Comment on the story in Monday’s episode Alison Hammond said: “It put the village on the map. I didn’t like the idea at first, but now I think it’s a great idea.”

Presenter Isla Traquair visited Skelmorlie for the interview the clown and asked why they had chosen This Morning as the show from which to interview them.
He replied: “Everyone from India to the US wants to know the identity of the clown. But what is a game without someone to play along? Alison Hammond, what do you say?”
Isla asked: “So do you have anything to say to Alison Hammond?”
The clown continued, “Does it help you sleep better at night if you tell yourself that I’m just here to scare?”
“The only mask I can see is the one you wear when you say you’re not afraid of me.”
