The British city among the safest in the world has been revealed – but people aren’t so convinced.
The British city is in the top ten, according to a new report commissioned by Berkshire Hathaway.
London has been named one of the world’s ten safest cities for visitors in 2024 in a new survey.
The big city has a good reputation crime Tariffs and gang violence.
However, for many foreign travelers it is still considered one of the safest places to visit.
Fifteen cities made up the list, which was published by US insurance company Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection.
The report analyzed crime data and asked tourists to rate each city based on how safe and secure they felt during their visit.
Data included violent crime, terrorism, safety and health care for women, safety for people of color and LGBTQ+ people.
Experts said they researched dozens of cities and selected the 31 most popular.
They said: “For each of the last four years we have compiled a list of the world’s safest cities to travel to. A lot has changed in travel since then, but fortunately many of the safest cities in the world have not changed.”
“Many cities are so American traveler People who were considered safe at the height of the pandemic are still considered safe today.
“As part of the survey process, we ask respondents whether they have actually visited any of these cities, and only travelers who have actually been to the cities are allowed to rate them on various safety measures based on their first-hand knowledge of a benchmark.”
Honolulu and Montreal topped the list, followed by Reykjavik and the Australian city of Sydney – the British capital came eighth.
Asian cities performed well in the research, with the Japanese capital Tokyo and the South Korean capital Seoul all making the list.
The European destinations Paris, Berlin and Barcelona also made it.
And Orlando in Florida, USA, came in last place.

According to the Office for National Statistics, 12,786 knife offenses were committed in the capital in the 12 months to the end of March this year.
It has jumped from 11,031 in the same period last year – an increase of 16 percent.
However, London ranks third nationally when it comes to knife crime.
The Metropolitan Police recorded 137 cases of knife crime last year.
The safest cities in the world were revealed – and only two European cities were in the top ten.

Tokyo was named the world’s safest city on Thursday by the Economist Intelligence Unit in an index that assesses cities’ ability to cope with everything from climate disasters to cyberattacks.
Only two cities in Europe made it into the top ten: Amsterdam and Copenhagen.
