The University Of South Carolina Is Now Selling Football Tickets… Through Costco?

I don’t know if that’s awesome or if I’ve entered the Twilight Zone.

Most of us have all printed tickets, scalped them outside of stadiums, or bought them online for football matches.

Of course, when your favorite college or NFL team is really good, it feels like you almost have to sell your soul to get tickets (unless you’re a season ticket holder).

However, I can honestly never say I’ve seen such a move before…

Football tickets for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks have popped up at Costco, literally on the shelves.

Maybe I’m just a traditionalist, and I have a hard time contemplating buying college football game tickets at a grocery store (or being a Clemson fan, USC Jr.’s rival), but that just feels incredibly obscure to me.

Imagine you are sitting at home and you ask your wife or husband what they bought at the grocery store and they answer:

“Eggs, milk, beer and South Carolina football tickets.”

HUH?

However, acc Goal kick, This isn’t the first time a college team has made such a move this year, as Louisville also began selling tickets at Costcos in July.

Having said that, I think this is a great opportunity to get rid of excess tickets that haven’t been sold yet and an opportunity to fill stadiums along with another outlet.

Of course, the Clemson fan in me wants to say that South Carolina is so desperate to sell tickets because they haven’t been relevant in nearly a decade, even with their new savior quarterback Spencer Rattler transferring to the school from Oklahoma. But hey, that’s just me.

Gamecock Country… let’s hook up… I mean, let’s ride… to Costco…
