There are road closures in Ryedale this week including the A64 Malton bypass

National Highways’ latest list of expected work with advisories indicates that two existing closures are expected to continue this week: • A64, from 9.30am 2 May to 3.30pm 2 June, slight delays (less than 10 minutes ): A64 East-West Hopgrove to Seamer mobile lane closure for general cleanup and maintenance.

• A64, from 8pm 20 February to 6am 10 June, slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Claxton, traffic signals for drainage works.

And over the next seven days, another eight closures will begin:

• A64, 9pm 16 May to 6am 17 May, slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A64 westbound, Brambling Fields to Pickering, access road closed for signage, detour via national motorways and the local government network.

• A64, 9pm 17 May to 6am 18 May, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Ganton to Staxton, mobile lane closures for inspections.

• A64, from 1:30pm 20 May to 6:00pm 21 May, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, Scampston, lane closure due to off-route event.

• A64 20 May 20:00 to 21 May 04:00 Slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, Claxton, lane closure for NPG, detour via local authority network in place.

• A64, 9pm 22 May to 6am 23 May, slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A64 westbound, Brambling Fields to Pickering, access road closed for signage, detour via national motorways and the local government network.

• A64 24 May 20:00 to 26 May 05:00 Slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Malton to Brambling Fields, lane closed for barrier repairs.

• A64, from 8pm 25 May to 6am 26 May, slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Whitwell to Barton Hill, lane closures for general cleaning and maintenance.

• A64 25 May 20:00 – 26 May 06:00 Slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, East Heslerton, lane closed for BT works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining freeways and major state highways, so closures of minor roads are not included in their schedule.
