They only had boys, tried again for a girl, God sent them quintuplets
Joshua and Megan Hulen, like many other couples who already have sons, wanted to have a daughter. When they decided to try again after a failed pregnancy, it wasn’t long before Megan conceived. They were curious whether they would have a daughter after such a long time or not.
Before the pregnancy, the family had two sons, a 7-year-old and a 2-year-old. Desperate for the girl, they decided to try again. The couple passed the fertility test, which revealed several issues that required stopping additional therapy. Because they couldn’t believe it when they found out they were pregnant
When doctors were able to get more information about her pregnancy, they informed the couple that she was definitely pregnant. But not just with one child; five!
“We went to our first ultrasound at six weeks and found it was five,” Megan informed us. “It was kind of shocking, but at the same time exciting and scary, I’d say.” And Megan agreed, “Absolutely.”
Accordingly, Joshua and Megan were expecting quintuplets. And a family of four has nine members. She told VKRG and others are asking, “They didn’t come from IVF.” Her husband also said, “And it’s not the COVID babies. It used to come from them.”
Megan is lucky the baby was conceived before the explosion started. This allowed her husband to accompany her on some of their early dates. And these reunions have helped the family grow closer as they face this ordeal that will no doubt have a major impact on their lives.
On the other hand, her pregnancy was not easy as she had to cope with the knowledge that she would soon give birth to five children, as well as with the COVID-19 epidemic and the restrictions imposed on them. Megan said: “It was really crazy, something we certainly never expected. ”
On September 2nd, Chloe, Adam, Emma, Alison and Madison were born into their mother’s life at the age of 32 weeks. The proud dad said: “It’s amazing but overwhelming at the same time.”
Doctors and parents of quintuplets were equally shocked. Megan shared: “They’re not viable, or one or two disappear, or things like that happen. And so we were like, ‘Okay, it’s not going to be five. There will be two, three or more. We came back in a week. and there were five heartbeats.
The chance of delivering five times that is one in 43 million. This will be a big event for the family. They are also the first five to be born in North Dakota!
Jacob, the brothers’ brother, commented: “I’m glad to be home and it’s just wonderful because that has never happened before.
Even though it was bigger than expected, Zoey is excited and happy to have a big family. She said: “We are blessed and happy about it. And Joshua laughed as he added: “Absolutely. And sometime in the future, when we fall asleep again, we’ll be thankful for that too.”
Having children is a gift. Joshua and Megan are truly blessed as they now have two wonderful children.
