Tom Cruise: Denise Welch leaves the Top Gun star in hysterics at Michael Caine’s birthday bash

Tom Cruise was in the unlikely company of Denise Welch at Sir Michael Caine’s 90th birthday party in London on Tuesday (March 14).
The Permissive women star shared a series of photos and videos from the event on Instagram on Wednesday (March 15), including one showing a rather crude speech she gave.
“What an honor to be asked by Shakira to say a few words on Sir Michael Caines’ 90th birthday!!! He loves dirty jokes and apparently so does @tomcruise!!!! Great night and great company,” Welch commented on the clip.
Video shows the Tyneside actor saying: “Just the other day, [Michael’s wife] Shakira [Caine] said she heard a scream from downstairs.
“It was Michael who shouted, ‘Shakira, look, there’s a package, my Olympic condoms are here.’
“He said, ‘I’m going to wear the gold ones tonight,’ and she said, ‘Why not wear the silver ones and come second for a change’.”
The camera then pans around to the guests who are all laughing, including Cruise who is seated next to Sir Michael.
Welch also shared a selfie with Cruise on her Instagram story.

Other guests at the party included David Walliams – who also shared footage of Cruise on Instagram – Impossible Mission Director Christopher McQuarrie and legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Despite everything, Cruise had missed the Oscars days before Top Gun: Maverick nominated for best film.
Accordingly entertainment tonightCruise’s absence was due to his filming schedule Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part IIwhich he filmed in the UK.
Executive producer Molly McNearney later revealed that her husband, Jimmy Kimmel, would not have made the Scientology joke about Cruise during the show if the actor had been present.
Top Gun: Maverick only won an Oscar for Best Sound.
