Tottenham reject Harry Kane’s latest offer as Bayern Munich have revealed the offer is £25m below valuation

The latest offer was understood to be around £25million below Spurs’ valuation of the England captain and Bayern officials will weigh their options at a pre-scheduled meeting later on Monday.
Kane has made it clear he expects to stay at Spurs if a deal isn’t struck before the start of the new season at Brentford on Sunday – although head coach Ange Postecoglou hinted yesterday that the only deadline for a transfer remains the end of the season The transfer window is midnight on September 1st.
Bayern had already seen an opening offer worth around £70million plus surcharges and an improved follow-up offer this summer, which was repulsed by Spurs.
According to reports in Germany, their last offer was their “last” offer for Kane and they are now considering whether to go even higher. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy met officials at the Bundesliga champions last week and announced his intention to negotiate but is now said to be in the United States.
Kane, who has entered the final 12 months of his six-year contract, scored four goals as Spurs beat Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 in their penultimate summer friendly on Sunday.
Afterwards, Postecoglou said he remained in the dark about Kane’s future but called for a quick resolution to the transfer saga.
“I said it [the club] If the status quo changes, let me know,” Postecoglou said. “I don’t need to know about the comings and goings in between. I just want to deal with what’s ahead because regardless of the outcome, I still have to build a team here.
“I can barely wait for it [around] for a decision on how to proceed. We have neither the time nor the luxury for that. I work with what is in front of me. You saw today that Harry is definitely invested in what we are doing and we will continue to be so unless things change.”
Asked about the suggestions that Bayern had given Spurs a deadline to respond to their latest offer, Postecoglou added: “From my perspective, I don’t know what deadlines mean. We know there is a deadline, which is the end of the transfer window. In addition, I am regularly in open dialogue with Harry and the club.”
Kane has made it clear he will not sign a new Spurs contract while the transfer window remains open but is said not to have ruled out resuming talks mid-season if Postecoglou’s rebuild shows promise.
Unless he signs a new deal, he could leave Spurs on a free transfer at the end of next season and sign a preliminary deal with foreign clubs in January.
