Tottenham were Paul Pogba’s ‘first choice’ after leaving Man United, pundit reveals

Massimo Brambati, who spent the majority of his career in Serie A before moving into the pundits, has revealed the French midfielder’s desire to move to north London before landing back at Juventus.
Conte and Pogba spent two years together in Turin, winning the Scudetto twice before the manager left to manage the Italy national team.
However, Conte and managing director Fabio Paratici decided against signing the world champion on a free transfer last summer.
“I know Antonio Conte’s Tottenham was his first choice but the manager said no to Paratici,” Brambati said TMW.
Pogba’s return to Juve hasn’t gone according to plan at all, having only made two appearances off the bench after suffering a serious knee injury.
That comeback was quickly halted by another issue when the 30-year-old suffered a muscle tear, prompting reports in Italy that his contract could be terminated.
