The midfielder came on as a substitute for the first time since February in Spurs’ 2-1 loss to Aston Villa last weekend but is keen to start with Oliver Skipp likely to make way.

Tottenham manager Ryan Mason has suggested Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga remain fit after missing the trip to Villa Park. As such, he is unlikely to make any other significant changes to the line-up this past weekend.
The reigning head coach’s biggest challenge will surely come in attack, with Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison jostling for a place alongside Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.
Mason has used a hybrid 3-4-3/4-3-3 formation in the last two games, with Pedro Porro alternating between right-back and midfield.
Hugo Lloris, Rodrigo Bentancur and Ryan Sessegnon are all long-term absentees.
Estimated Tottenham XI: Ranger; Emerson, Romero, Lenglet, Davies; Porro, Bissouma, Hojbjerg; Son, Richarlison, Kane (4-3-3)
