Twitch is bringing emotes to life in new partnership with Youtooz

Twitch has created three new statuettes based on Twitch’s most popular emotes. Although the exact three the characters will be modeled on have not yet been announced, fans have already started investigating the possible sources.

Emotes are an important part of the culture that Twitch has built on the livestream platform. While Twitch provides a set of global emotes that all Twitch users can post in chat, it’s a more efficient way for its streamers to create their own emotes as a benefit to subscribers. Also, users have created countless emotes with addons that have significantly changed Twitch’s emote-centric language.

Youtooz is a manufacturer of collectibles. It has worked with a variety of companies, including Five Nights at Freddys and Model a Plush, and also followed popular Dungeons and Dragons creatures. Now the toy company is joining Twitch and creating three emotes with characters.

In the advertisement on Twitch’s Twitter, the show featured the silhouette of three Youtooz. Despite being facedown, fans have theorized that the characters are based on popular Kappa, CoolStoryBob, and Hey Guys emotes.

The three of these potentially selected emotes are part of Twitch’s global base set, each with a different meaning. Kappa, based on Johnny DeSuno, is used to express sarcasm or make an assumption that a streamer might be lying. CoolStoryBob’s character is similar to Bob Ross, which is often used when a person is telling lengthy stories. Modeled after a former Twitch recruiting director, Hey Guys will spam the chat whenever someone seems embarrassed or distressed by embarrassing memories.

Neither youtooz nor Twitch gave a specific date for the new collection of streaming characters, which are being laid out today, but they said the set will be out soon.
