Twitch staff got credit for crypto payments from Trainswrecktv

Amid the ongoing controversy over streaming games, a new video showing popular Twitch streamer Trainwreckstv dishing out large crypto payments to two Twitch staffers has gone viral. Trainswrecktv is one of several streaming websites aiming to crack down on gambling sites – a new policy set to go live on October 18th next month.

The GAMER VIDEO OF THE DAYS.

The video was shared on Twitter by Ostonox, the editor of Hasan Piker. It shows Trainswrecktv talking to his chat while streaming a gambling site. He’s sending $80,000 worth of cryptocurrency down the abyss based on his apparent data source Pepegafish and Rellim, whose job title remains unknown but claims they were employed by Twitch on their personal Twitter account.

The streamers taking on the Twitch Gambling Meta are late, intimate, and concerning.

It seems obvious that this has raised concerns about Twitch’s future politics and why the streamers are actually getting their fair share of what’s happening behind closed doors. While it’s not known how much influence Rellim and Pepegafish actually have on Twitch, Trainwreckstv seems patently casual about giving thousands of dollars to employees during the live stream.

Twitch decided to ban illegal gambling sites on its platform, but it didn’t come without a lot of pressure from some of its biggest creators. For example, streamers like Pokimane, Mizkif, and Devi Nash planned to halt streaming for a week during the holiday season to force Twitch into action, believing that pocketing the company would be the best course of action.

It seems that now that you’re still watching the October 18th news, you do. Hey, it’s better than nothing.
