What can you expect at Disrupt this year? Tech icons and other high-profile speakers from across the early-stage startup spectrum are always a given. The official agenda is far from set (it’s early), but here are just some of the speakers and topics you’ll find over there the TechCrunch+ tier (You might remember the extra crunch phase from before our rebranding).

The venture market has changed a lot as of 2021 and we are tackling a difficult issue from both sides of the coveted venture coin. Don’t miss these two important panel discussions.

  • How to raise those first few dollars in a tougher market, the venture perspective – with Annie Case (Kleiner Perkins) and Sheel Mohnot (Better Tomorrow Ventures).
  • How to collect first dollars when investors are more cautious, the founder’s perspective – with Amanda DoAmaral (Fiveable), Sara Du (Alloy Automation) and Arman Hezarkhani (Parthean).

The Startup Battlefield Pitch competition promises to be even more exciting this year. Why? Because the 20 finalists will be selected from The Startup Battlefield 200. TechCrunch will handpick 200 outstanding early stages and host the cohort (for free) at Disrupt. They will be the only startups exhibiting in the exhibition space for all three days of the fair.

Team TechCrunch has the difficult (and exciting) task of reviewing thousands of applications to find the best startups for the exhibition. Then they will sort out that group and select 20 notable finalists who will go to the main stage and stand live in front of a judging panel along with the entire Disrupt audience for a chance at $100,000.

Do you think you have the right thing? Applications are now open and will end on July 31st. Apply to the startup Battlefield 200 ASAP, as we start rolling out acceptance letters on July 1st.

In the run-up to Disrupt, we will share more exciting programs with you. Keep your fingers on the pulse of TechCrunch – Sign up for event updates to get the latest announcements and discounts.
